Kibo
A mobile-first member exploration, reinventing women's healthcare and cyclical tracking.

Problem
Contraception is currently administered based on the assumption that all women will respond in a similar manner. There is a lack of knowledge as to what to do when your contraception is not right for you.

HOW IT WORKS

Painful periods?
Some of us experience dreadful period symptoms like extreme abdominal pain or rapid changes in mood or energy. How do we know if this is normal?

Track symptoms with Kibo
Stay in-tune with your body
Kibo is a place to input contraceptive use, keep track of energy levels, and follow bleeding patterns.
What better way to stay in-tune with your body than by connecting with a care team on-demand? Sharing observations can lead to long term benefits.
MOBILE SCREENS
Friendly first impressions

It's the first key point in a longer journey that paves the way for familiarity. Enter into Kibo as a new user through simply adding your email address and creating a password. Returning members are ushered into their experience with ease.
Track and discover patterns

Self-selection offers a tailored focal point after onboarding. Tracking and discovering patterns helps each woman better know her own body and understand what is “normal,” happy and healthy for her through following changes in mood, energy and menstrual patterns.
Chat with a Kibo's Care team on demand

Using a cycle tracker such as Kibo, allows for seamless direct messaging with a care specialist and same day booking for urgent care-like issues. The documented information can be shared with your doctor so they can use it to help suggest improvements.
GESTURE AND MOTION EXPLORATION

To track energy levels and enhance visual appeal, a Kibo user’s touch will directly control the movement and life of the flowers.
In this mid fidelity prototype, I sketch and principle to design a working slider that responds to gesture in real-time to express direct user control over the floral graphic.

Visual Design Exploration and Branding
To get a better sense of the look and feel of the concept. I created a style guide with brand attributes and a mood board with images to reflect these specific elements.
